Romania-Moldova ACT! is a capacity building project, consisting of 5 partners (2 from the EU and 3 from Region 2), who want to raise awareness about the importance of Sport for All and physical activity and the role it can play. Our capacity building project is not limited to staff training, but also includes new methodologies, online training materials, special joint multiplying sport events, manuals on new public policy development, joint statements by national stakeholders on new methodologies, programs dedicated to movement and Sport for All. In a world where people are no longer active, for various reasons such as lack of infrastructures, public policies, lack of time, war, exodus of active population, lack of teaching and sport personnel, lack of methods and tools to motivate and attract people to sport, it is time to ACT and increase the capacity of sport organizations. After mapping the sport specific policies and strategies at national, regional and local level in each partner country, we will develop a Sport for All training methodology for all areas in the 3 Eastern countries and beyond, which will be piloted on about 200 participants from Romania, Moldova and Ukraine in face-to-face trainings and also on minimum 500 participants from the participating countries and other neighboring countries Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Poland, Hungary, and other countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Poland, Hungary, who will join the RISE webinars. Staff members will have the opportunity to network, train and attend international events and participate in all activities in the participating countries, encouraging cooperation in different regions of the world through joint sport initiatives. Romania-Moldova ACT! will be a unique and exemplary project for capacity building in the field of sport, with a focus on the Eastern Neighborhood - in a time of war and the need to ACT for Post-Conflict Reconciliation (R), Inclusion (I), Safeguading (S), Gender Equality (E) and to increase the capacity of sport organizations!
To map policies and strategies at national, regional and local level in each partner country, in order to allow a real assessment of the status at consortium level (Romania, Moldova, Germany, Ukraine) as a baseline to be improved within the project. The aim is to examine the drawbacks in the management of sports structures and to increase the efficiency and attractiveness of the institutions by strengthening competent, solid and successful teams.
To develop a Sport for All training methodology based on the HEPA Guidelines to train coaches, instructors, teachers, volunteers, sport specialists for all areas in the 3 Eastern countries and beyond.
Skills development for around 200 representatives of public and private sport federations from Romania, Moldova and Ukraine (and also from the Eastern Neighborhood countries - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia) in the field of sport for all, so that they can disseminate information to their own continental, national and local members.
To raise awareness about the importance of Sport for All and physical activity and the role they can play in the countries participating in this project and also in the neighboring countries in the East, especially Ukraine (but also Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia), throughout the project.
